My motherboard came in the mail yesterday. I was able to put everything together, no problem. 3.2 GHz processor and 2 Gb RAM, my computer takes 30 seconds to go from off to desktop. Sure, that'll slow down when I put shit on it, but DAMN

Why didn't you go with a multi-core system? They aren't that much more expensive and RAM would have been cheaper too. I assume you have Hyper-threading, but dual cores is cooler.

I gotta start using Linux just so I can eventually earn a job at Google. I should learn Mac-stuffs too.

How big is the hard drive and how are you allocating it between the OS's?

I've goot a 160 gig HDD, I'm not sure how I'm going to split it though.

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's a HT processor. I was pretty much going by what I saw on e-bay, I bought my tower 4 months ago and was REALLY anxious to finally get this thing together. I'm quite happy with it.

Don't have one yet. Running off the motherboard's on-board video. I'll probably get one a week from this friday. I promised Annette I wouldn't get it till after her birthday, which is on monday. I want to get something relatively kickass, though. Something to compliment the specs I already have.
