What a crap week

Last week we for Charli's B-day we planned to take her out to dinner and go to a movie.  Unfortunately, the idiot waitress kinda screwed it up by fucking up our checks.

Then I spent the evening of my birthday at home trying not to cry from the frustration of my job.  Now it's the weekend after my horrible birthday and all I wanted to do was hang out ( Read more... )

FRIDAY We're GATHERING!

First we will take a trip to On The Boarder @ 15th and 75 for some decadent yummy food and drinks at 6pm.

Then we'll be wisked off to a magical movie show of Kung-Fu Panda @ 8:50pm at the luxurious Cinemark on Legacy!

Join us this Friday the 27th for a ride like you wouldn't believe! Come celebrate Russell's birthday!

And I promise to get my carpets cleaned and the apt cleaned for next friday at my place.

I'm sorry I forgot to wish you a timely Happy Birthday...and that your job is going so poorly. Is it still the same place you worked at while I was still living in Texas?

I *eventually* took your advice about seeking new friends and have been part of a roleplaying group the last month or so. We've been playing Shadowrun, and our GM, while well-meaning, is still somewhat green...though our group is much more unexpectedly and pleasantly diverse than I had anticipated. It's actually been kinda nice to be around my own kind again...I'd almost forgotten how much fun it could be to interact with other nerds. :)

I am glad that you have found some some good nerd stock. Also, make sure to nurture your GM. There is nothing worse than a burnt out GM.

Regretably I am still working at the same place :-( But I am working my but off trying to remedy that.

We've been going pretty easy on him. He's 21 and therefore the youngest of our as yet to be solidified gaming group. We're considering trying something new...what was it...kind of like Arkham horror in some sort of twisted comedy setting and heavily influenced by Hawking's view of the universe. I'm kinda looking forward to that actually!

On the plus side to staying at the same mediocre job for so long...something I've never been able to do longer than 13 months if you don't count the military...is that you probably look *super* on a resume. What kind of job are you looking for?
