Anna/Tatty/Jack:The Carpark/Roof

Apr 06, 2005 02:42

Anna's head jerked backwards when she heard the yelling and screaming coming from outside the extra cafe. What was going on down there? Tai-San was, if Anna remembered correctly, the really spiritaul one. A face popped up in her mind and she nodded to herself, wodingering what had happened to her. When she turned back, Anna could tell that Jack was ( Read more... )

Jack walked beside Anna towards the carpark stairs, glad that the net with the wilting flowers from the wedding was still obstructing the view to the downstairs. He didn't want to see what was going on, and he didn't want Tatty or Anna to be scared either, surely it was simply a cry for attention, or a diversion. He could hear the heated tones downstairs, the accusations, the worry, the panic, but Jack just couldn't bring himself to draw these two kids into it. It sounded like it was all under control, he would be of little to no help ( ... )

Tatty's hand fluttered to the tatting shuttle on his belt, nervous, wanting to tat, but he couldn't really walk and tat too well, and if they were to take stairs he knew better than to try and tat at the same time. Jack ditched them as soon as they entered the stairwell, and Tatty looked to Anna with wide eyes as the door slammed. "Do..do you know the way?" He felt a string of conversation following quickly behind those words, "What, how do I wish on a star, Anna? Flower, she asked me to, I, I said I would, but I don't know how. What," he was nervous and agitated, unsure of himself.

Anna was startled when the door slammed behind Jack as he disappeared back the way they'd come. They looked vaguely familiar, which they should from earlier in the day, but a lot had happened since then."Yeah...I do..." Anna murmured while thinking:sorta... Giving Tatty a reassuring smile, Anna carefully started up the steps. The shoes she wore made it so that she had to go slowly or risk a broken ankle. She also figured that if it took them long enough, Jack would reappear before they got to the top. When Tatty asked the second question, Anna paused and looked back at him ( ... )

As they went up the stairs, Jack made sure to walk behind Anna, she had shoes on that were like the ones earlier, different, but surely she could trip in those. Is that what had happened to Tai-San, she'd tripped on her shoes? If Jack remembered correctly, she hadn't been wearing shoes at the ceremony, but he hadn't been paying a lot of attention to her either. He didn't want Anna to trip down the stairs, how frightening, he'd, well he just didn't know what he'd do if she fell. Plus, Ryan would blame Jack, it wouldn't be pretty, and poor Tatty, the last thing he looked like he needed was, well that.

As they reached the top landing at the top of the stairs, Jack moved around Anna and pulled the door open, "Now just two more half flights and we'll be on the roof. If, if you get too cold or anything just let me know," he was speaking more to Anna than anything, as Tatty had that jacket on, but he looked to Tatty to make sure he knew he was thinking of him as well.

Jack felt his heart pounding through his chest, could she hear his heart beating for her? Could she tell what just being so near to her did to him? That the scent of her clean, fragrant soap made his head swim, his stomach flutter with nerves? Scooting just a bit closer to her, Jack's hand pressed a bit more firmly against her back, as if he was pulling her in. "No, I..don't think we do have books, I," he stared into her eyes now, leaning in closer. "My Dad, he had books, I might have a computer program on a disk somewhere," he trailed off, not even remembering what they were talking about any longer ( ... )

Anna's thoughts tumbled sideways when Jack kissed her and the words he just spoke disappeared. She figured that if the comment had been important, he'd repeat it later. The soft press of his lips against her's was so teasingly gentle that Anna was taken aback by the sweetness of it. Anna leaned into him letting her hand lift up and rest on the side of his neck. Her heart beat a wild pattern, pounding in her ears. The other hand touched his shoulder and slide over to hang, her finger tips just grazing where his shoulder blade would be. Moving her arms required she twist to one side, and though it wasn't the most comfortable. Without thinking, she lifted her legs and drapped them over his and shooted closer. She vaguely hoped the dress wouldn't snare on the crates, but it was so far from her mind ( ... )

The soft touches on his neck sent shivers down his back, his mind went absolutely blank, and he felt a heat rise through his body. His heart felt like it would explode with excitement and anticipation in his chest, the last thing Jack wanted was to have this kiss end badly like the last one, no he wanted to make that up to her, to show her that it was ok. He hadn't yet told her that Ryan had agreed that they could be together, but then he and Salene had told Jack not to tell anyone. Did that mean Anna too? Well, well he didn't know, right now all he could think about was holding her closer yet and being here with her ( ... )

The hand Anna had on Jack's shoulder flexed when he deepened the kiss, her fingers curling into the material of his shirt. Her hand slide along his neck, her fingers trailing through his hair. Her worry over kissing was gone, replaced by her need to be closer to him. If she'd been thinking clearly, she might've wondered about moving so fast with someone she'd only known a day, but the thoughts were pushed to the back burner for the moment. Anna might've wondered about Tatty sitting mere feet away, but he'd completely slipped her mind for the moment. It wasn't that she didn't care, but sometimes she needed a break from watching over everything. It was nice to feel needed and wanted in way that wasn't family related. Her siblings wanted her around and Tatty needed her around, but this was very different ( ... )
