I'm currently re-reading The Magpie Bridge -- because I realized that if I want to start working on it again and finish it, I have to refresh myself. I let too much time lapse to know where to begin again -- and I had to laugh when I got to this part:

Elaine was not looking forward to tonight's dinner or the inevitable confrontation she knew she'
