I'd say that's one of my most frequent kinds of dreams-trying trying trying to get somewhere, and everything I do makes me less ready for geographically more distant from the goal.
But the wedding theme makes it particularly unsettling! :( *holds you tight*
You're so right. This really isn't all that different from the goal-seeking dreams, only usually my goal is an exam and I've either forgotten to study for it, forgotten I was signed up for that class, can't reach the test-taking site, or some combination of all three.
The wedding theme of this particular dream was disturbing because I rarely (ever?) dream about getting married, and that I couldn't reach the groom. Well, it makes me wonder. Am I subconsciously sabotaging myself in reality? Or maybe I'm giving too much credence to a dream. Either way, all I know is, I woke up feeling mega stressed and anxious!
I haven't taken any psychology classes, so I may be just uneducated and naive about this. But I'm a firm believer that for the most part, a dream is just a dream. It's most likely just the subconscious taking an idea and exploring it creatively?
