Every time I rewatch the first movie there are still little things for me to notice. It's really an incredibly made movie in the way that almost every line of dialogue can have hidden meaning.

"It seems, Mr. Anderson, that you have been living two lives...One of these lives is going to continue and one of them is about to end."Isn't that the truth

You didn't understand the coppertop reference? Morpheus even holds up a duracell battery while in the construct, the battery with the copper top.

Also, he doesn't say "One of these lives is going to continue and one of them is about to end." He says "One of these lives has a future." Same underlying priniciple though.

Switch is a little older than me so I didn't understand her reference.
And yeah, I was a little too lazy to get the exact quotes but you get the picture.

no offense te reason you didn't get the reference to "Coppertop", is that your too young to remember the DURACELL commercials of the early 80's (I read your profile page)

the commercial's tag line used to say "Choose the one with the Copper Top". Plus batteries use copper inside to start the chemical reaction to start the flow of electricity

Yeah, I got the coppertop=duracell thing really easy too .. when morpheous holds up the C battery .. "the power to turn a human being .. into this."
