Is Matrix Online still offering and honoring free trials? If so, would anyone here be willing to pass me one? I'm kind of curious about it but want to take a test drive before investing, especially since I've heard mixed reviews

Nope. The free trials ran out 9 months ago, and they wouldn't be honored if you did get a code, since the game has changed companies since then. Sorry. But they are redoing the combat and supposedly restarting events soon, so I'd recommend picking it up in a few months. It does come with the first month free.
