I read an article about Will Smith that talked about this. He said something to the effect of, "You know, I don't normally say that there's something I couldn't do, but I couldn't have done Neo the way Reeves did. I would have overplayed it." I have to respect that.

Some of those aren't so bad. I could see Reno as Smith. And I'll poke into possible blashpemy and suggest that Brandon could have done Neo justice. Still, you have to chuckle at the people who turned down the role because they didn't think the movie would succeed. Heh heh. (Of course does Sean Connery really need any more blockbusters on his resume? Jeesh.)

Ooh, things like this are interesting. As much as I love Depp, I wouldn't be able to see him as Neo, hee. And yeah I have to agree, I could have seen Reno as Smith.
