Rikku was in her room, minding her own business, with the door wide open. She was drawing up schematics for more cell towers, to see if she could make the design more efficient, and not paying attention to the fact that Petey seemed to be stalking something small and quick around the room

Alice was wandering the hallways, terribly amused at the goings-on this week. The world seemed filled with insanity, and that was always quite all right with Alice.

She poked her head into the room when she heard the blonde girl yelp. "Is everything all right?"

"No," Rikku gasped, eyes wide. "I need you to leave. Right now. And lock the door behind you."

Petey, for his part, was less interested in the gremlin than in the girl in the doorway. Hi! Hello! Pet him?

Alice knelt to scritch behind the creature's ears. Wasn't he adorable? He really was.

"That hardly seems logical," she noted. "If you're in need of help, locking you in won't get it for you. And in any case, doors lock from the inside. You'd be able to unlock it and let yourself out again."

"I don't need help," Rikku insisted. "I'm fine. And I'd probably be too insane to think to unlock the door and why aren't you listening to me?!"

Great. Someone stopped in to help, and it was a girl who was utterly insane.
