Room 308, Friday, Midday

Okay, so: it wasn't just prom. It was also Reno's nineteenth birthday. Which ... he kinda got weird about celebrating things like that, so she hadn't made a big fuss out of it -- although she was going to give a heads-up to the rest of the posse, just because they'd slap her silly if they didn't. She might ask them to keep it under wraps, though. ( Read more... )

Reno was in a pretty darn good mood, today. Between dodgeball and punting fake gremlins into the trees, classes today hadn't been so bad at all.

And they'd been sane which suited him just fine.

And so he was smiling as he knocked on Rikku's door, a paper bag containing the greasiest chicken he could get on the island in one hand. It was lunchtime, after all.

"Come iiiiiiiiiiiin," she sang out. Which hopefully didn't give him the wrong impression, that she was tied up and couldn't get to the door? She was suddenly worrying that she'd done everything all wrong and should have done something vampy with lingerie instead of sitting here in her orange PJs. "I mean, it's open, zoto."

Hey, she could have done something vampy, but knowing Reno? If she had, they would have either missed the Prom, or they would have wound up getting there late and smelling like sex.

... Which would have been fine by Reno, but still.

"Yo!" He peered into the room, waving the bag of chicken. "I come bearin' grease and salt, zoto. You havin' a good day off?"

Getting there late smelling like sex was still totally an option, in her books.

"Ooooooh, you rock," she laughed. "I'm having an awesome day off. Watching movies. Being lazy. Wishing I had a Turk to snuggle."

Subtlety wasn't her strong suit.
