EXTRA-EXTRA
officially quit top notch today. i'm not a window cleaner anymore, and it feels excellent. :-D i don't have very much else to say, but i'm in such a good mood that i'm going to keep typing. i had no idea that quitting would be so LIBERATING. it's amazing. i packed up all of my tools...and shirts and coat and extra towels and flyers from work (actually kept a few towels a shirt my pole and my raingear...they may or may not miss it all/ask for it back) and put it in my bucket. i'll drop it at their door tomorrow and be DONE. no more nagging for being a minute late...no more getting up at 5:15, no more idiot work mates calling the office and complaining that i'm working slow instead of telling me themselves, no more of lily's smart ass, no more squeegies or Glass Gleam 3, no more bird shit or disgusting gutters, cold hands, no more working at the same place as my mom and coming home and having to hear all about what happened in the office while i was working, no more $8.50/hour, no more breakfast meetings, no more wes no more kevin...NO MORE TOP NOTCH.
now it's all about "Einar Johanson's Glass and Insulation." $11/hour, saws and hammers, beating the shit out of things :), cool guys to work with, WEEKLY paycheques, much more laid-back atmosphere...instead of "be here at 7:30 or get your head bitten off," it's, "be here anytime around 7 or 7:30, unless you're with Robert, cuz he's always late." :) feels good. feels so good. anyway, in the meantime, i'll still be on the lookout for work at magnolia audio/video...home theater/car audio stuff. but i'm content at this place for sure right now. :)
so today, i wasn't doing ANYTHING...and whilst channel-surfing and eating trix, i happened upon this kid's TV show. come to find out it's called "boobahs..?" i think? anyway, it was REALLY weird...i watched it for like 10 minutes because i think it's got to be really close to what an acid trip is like. it's about these 5 globs with weird names that bounce around and make freaky noises. it was like 70's style effects, except with more of a high-def look.
has anybody else seen this craziness?? another scary kid's show, courtesy of the BBC.

we got a hot tub, in case anyone didn't know... i think it's caused my parents to rediscover cuddling, which is cute and all, but eww. our looks a little different; had to move the shed to make room for the tub, and the deck extends back an extra 15 feet from the concrete we had to pour for the tub, but otherwise, grass still looks like shit. maybe i'll post pics sometime if i'm bored...

other than that, i can't believe i haven't uploaded any pictures from prague yet. i got it down to 500ish pictures from 1000+, but it's really hard to narrow down to 50 or even 100. i still want to post them...i will in time.
might as well mention my car...it's got all the speakers and 1 amp in it...so yes i've got good, loud music, but no sub. my trunk leaks too much and i'm too in love with my sub amplifier to risk ruining it, so i'm waiting until i get the leaks fixed (hopefully before the end of the month) before i install it again. in the MEANtime, i want to sell the sub that i have now, (10" 600W Audiobahn aw1000q) for one of these: (12" 1200W Audiobahn AWP312T) it's twice as loud, a PERFECT match for my amp, VERY efficient with its power, operates at 1 ohm which is crazy cuz it's so easy to power and will hardly generate ANY heat..you have NO idea what i'm talking about but audiobahn has discontinued this particular sub, so all the new ones are gone...all that's left are used ones and if i want a decent used one i have to act fast. the guy that i might buy from is only selling them in PAIRS, he has 2 sets that he's trying to get rid of, and there's no way i'm getting two because not even joking my car would rattle so much that i could actually start having engine problems and screws could start coming loose, etc. so i'd buy both and then sell the other. anyway, that's the story there. now the funny part, i don't actually have that much money... :) oh well. i'll make up for it somehow.
so, i hope everyone's having a great time outside of edmonds (well, most of you anyway). i've got to jet. but that's my life in a nutshell. i hope it was riveting.
