Wow, its been a long time since I've written in this little box. A lot has happened since the last update and most of my readers have found out through IMs, but for those who haven't, I shall give a moderately brief outline of what's happened since 29 June.

I, for one, am very pro-Jaere updating more often. I like to keep up the only way I really can. =)

I'm really glad things are going well for you, honey. Also glad things with Helmut are working out. If he's who I've been thinking he is for some time, I'm tripley happy.

Cheers :D. Have a question for you. What steps are needed to make a legal name change? i.e. court involvement and fees and such?

If you go down to the courthouse, go to the court administrators office. There they have a form you can fill out. (Basic stuff, do you have kids, a lot of debt you might be running from, porperty that this will effect, etc, etc). You do have to pay a court fee/filing fee, which is quite heft. It was approximately $250. Then once they run a background check to make sure you're not running from the cops or debt or hiding kids from your ex spouse, they schedule a court date. You show up, bring two witness that have known you at least a year, whom can attest you are who you say you are. Explain the reasons to the judge and once its obvious you arent changing your name to avoid debt etc, she bangs the gavel and you're all set.

The real bitch is that it costs quite a bit.
