Well, if you aren't sure if the boy has a girlfriend, ask. My policy is, if I go more than a month or two with a crush, and don't know where the boy stands, I let him know how I feel. Which usually ends up really awkward and embarrassing, but at least I know how he feels and we can either date or I can move on.

Being a "late bloomer" is NOT a bad thing.
I have more thoughts on that, but I'll leave it at that.
