They filmed season 3 of Beyond the Break earlier this year; it consists of 14 episodes and it should debut in February or March. The cast and crew are not too optimistic about a season 4 since it's been nearly a year since they filmed and The N hasn't given them any indication that will more episodes.

As for Degrassi, a chief reason they introduced these lakehurst kids in this absurdly dumb storyline is to try and keep the franchise going after Emma and co. graduate. This is still The N's most popular show and as long as the writers are up to it, the network is not going to let this show go.

As for what Charity Shea said about The N wanting to target a younger demographic -- who knows? It doesn't quite make sense to me when they've ordered a comedy about 4 early twenty-somethings who intern for a hotshot movie producer. But this is the same network that decided not to air "What Goes On" when they had already produced 10 episodes.. nothing they do makes much sense to me!
