Unfortunately it's always going to be the case that you can't pretend that you like your job and promotion structure every day of the week, and so no matter how hard you work or how competent you are, your bosses are probably going to notice that you don't really give a shit and then always give the promotion to someone else.
Its also always going to be the case that you'll be pissed off by it. Just because you don't want a promotion, doesn't mean you don't want a promotion. Such is life.
You should have a "Jerry Maguire" style CRAZY episode in the office one day. It'll make you feel better
There are two cheery thoughts for me. To be honest some of this is down to me. If I cared moreand saw my long term future there then I would have pushed my boss to do it sooner. I should be going up for promotion some point in Jan, but its still irks.
