I think the flushing sound I hear is the last hope of Lucas retaining even the tiniest shred of artistic integrity going down the tubes.
It's unbelieveable how efficiently George Lucas has managed to deface his own creative legacy several times over despite the painstaking efforts of many better writers to preserve it for him over the decades.
I wish he'd just stick to counting his money and leave the creative work to the people who actually still have talent and originality. But his ego apparently will not allow this.
Adding 3-D to movies after the fact (as a few films have done in the past year) looks really shitty. This is just a cheap way to wring some more cash out of the audience, since adding 3-D to an existing film only costs a few million and lets you jack up the ticket price.

How in the world are 3 movies made 30+ years ago going to even remotely look good when converted into some seriously post production 3-D films?
Why doesn't he just stick to the damn Clone Wars cartoon and that mysterious live-action TV show he's supposed to be working on?
