(Besides being able to put all my RPG books on it so I can run gaming night from anywhere.)
Being able to use it to post to LJ while using my main computer to watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood on YouTube.

Between renting DVDs and the internet, I’ve been able to get caught up on Burn Notice, Leverage and Chuck.
All told, that’s a lot of time spent watching characters that do a lot of lying.

I'm three episodes into Serial Experiments Lain. It's pretty much as advertised: really weird and interesting.
I'm going to take this one slowly for a change, rather than mainline a lot of mindfuck all in one go.

From TED Talks: Mark Roth: Suspended animation is within our grasp.
It seems that the proper application of hydrogen sulfide might be able to deanimate the critically injured and keep them alive until they can be saved and reanimated. Medical stasis might be on the horizon.
Always nice to see science fiction on the verge of becoming science fact. -
