Back when I was just out of college we used to have this great place here called "Seldom Blues".
It had the look and feel of what I assume the 1920's speakeasies were like. Recessed lighting, bartenders dressed to a tee and waitresses in dresses. Strict dress code with an huge ape working the door. All jazz and blues with one main room and 2 - 3 smaller rooms which had space for a couple of musicians and about 8-10 guests.
Used to go and drink zambuka, listen to the music and feel like a gangster.
