Happy thing, day six

Today I'm happy that I was able to knock out these balls for the babies, yesterday afternoon and evening. (Now I just need to bang out some stockings.)

Secretly? About twenty years ago, I bought a fabric globe, brought it home, traced one of the panels and returned the globe to the store. I'd only ever made that size, then a few weeks ago I reduced the size a few times on a copier. Easy peasy.

And lovin' the balls.... I have often thought that I should make those little balls out of remnants from my quilts as a kind of keepsake...in fact, I think I'm going to do so. Would you happen to have a link to a pattern?
