Other people, mostly.

Not really. He doesn't drink much or do drugs, his powers won't allow it. His body doesn't like to be altered and his powers, without without his control, would purge the toxins to restore itself. In addition, his metabolism runs at a much higher level then most people, so he bruns through alcohol at several times the rate of a normal human.
