I just found out that there's a grant that the salvation army got last year that was never used... and now I get to use it! the budget for my afterschool teen program went from $0.00 yesterday, to $8,176 today. Maybe I won't quit after all...! It'd still be nice to have a full time job with benefits, though...

the Y probably wouldn't overlook 8 g's, but this is the Salvation Army we're talking about. Plus, the grant writer left for a better job last September so there was no one to look at the ball, let alone carry it after he left. And now BAM I can use it. Yay! All I have to do now is completely re-write the grant for the project that I am trying to do... that is rewrite it in 2 weeks! Ak! Crash course in REAL grant writing (not that americorps ish)...
