I can completely relate. Any "vacation" where you travel to spend time with relatives doesn't ever feel like vacation. I have yet to figure out how to have a break on the same scale or feeling I did when I was a kid, or younger. The crushing reality that I see, for me anyhow, is that as long as there are responsibilities due at home or in the work place I won't see a "true vacation" until I retire. Or at least it seems that way at this point. Maybe its just a matter of time before I go camping and disappear for a weekend in nature and feel at peace again.

Anyhow, long and short of it, I feel for you and I can't wait till you get to spend more time at home and spend less time away.

You're almost done now. You can do it!

To me a vacation is sitting in a darkish room with the glow of a computer screen or a reading lamp emanating as the only light, stuffing my face with Beefaronies and coconut water, and not giving a hot damn if I'm mostly naked and haven't brushed my teeth. Ahh yes, the glory days.
