Most of you will have heard by now, Edwin van der Sar has been given indefinite compassionate leave by Sir Alex Ferguson to visit his ill wife, Annemarie, in the Netherlands. He was there already to see the Dutch team doctor about his knee injury when she suffered a brain haemorrhage on December 23 and was hospitalised

I *know*; of all the posts on the comm to spam, this was by far the least appropriate. I reported it as spam, but I don't know what LJ does beyond that.
