Not just because I want to have his babies too like hell, but, because... well, it made me remember games, random conversations, and moments that showed the greatness of my (our, I should say) favorite goalkeeper. I squeed and got sad and smiled and wanted to hug him all over again. I remember when I cried when they lost against Russia and I actually wrote a blog post about how sad I was because I wanted to see him (and Ruud) win. I remember how happy I was (and how I was eating my scarf) when they won the CL. And his save. And all the rage of the losses and the glory of the victories and stupid fan things like staying awake till past midnight just to see a short-short interview with him on a local network (talking about his opinions on Chicha, mostly). Or roaming around for vids and pics, which eventually got me to LJ.
It was footy, fantasy, life. And he was around to make me smile or cry or scream at the ref or at the TV.
This picspam is so intense, it makes me incredibly happy and sad at the same time. It's so much Ed in all his factes and so many feelings... imho the last picture sums up so much of him. And I still can't realize that we will never see him on pitch again..
Thank you for putting all that together. Looking at it was a good way to put a crappy week behind me.
And yeah, I think ladystardust18 nailed it. A lot of memories there...heck, we wouldn't have all got to 'meet' each other if it weren't for him in some way.
I can't really imagine another high like watching the CL final in Moscow, or a low like them losing to Russia. And that's in large part thanks to him.
