I talked to him! Just once, but it happened!

Hurrah! I was really worried you'd never get to.

Pillbug is speaking in sentences. Granted, they're often movie quotes

Respect due!

When they aren't movie quotes, they tend to be heavy on commands. "Hey, you, get back here!" "Don't do that!" "You go away now!"

Sorry about your hand... That looks amazingly like my crazy Uncle Carl, hmmm.

What makes him your crazy uncle? I'm curious now!

I wasn't kidding about "crazy". He was once committed to a psychiatric hospital for a psychotic break about 20 years ago, where he was calling my father Satan and such. He's now just a bit eccentric.

I will try to find the link to his biography blurb for his book, an SF of some sort which I haven't read. I don't know if it actually has been purchased for publish or if it's a vanity press. I looked for before I commented, but couldn't find it. If I recall, it shows a bit of his "interesting character". ;p

Glad to know you're still alive and kicking, not glad to know you're maimed. Hope that gets better. As long as you don't get a Sadaam Hussain coming out of the hidey hole beard going on, I'm sure you'll be fine. Happy for all the other news.

You haven't missed much by not reading my stuff. I've been boring everyone with picture of house repairs/renovations. It's kind of exciting for me and I want to keep the record, but I'm not sure it's really that thrilling for anyone else.

That's probably about what it looks like right now.

We've got so many repairs and renovations we need to do that it might be easier and more relaxing just to experience them vicariously by looking at someone else's.

Yeah, totally not relaxing on my end for sure. Until after the Xanax and beer I had last night. Then everything was good, for a while. ;)

Home-repair tip #6741: When patching plaster, do not attempt to save time by sanding the patches with a belt sander.

Yeah, that's my big worry about it. I don't want to walk around attracting bugs.

I did ask if you thought it was broken. You said you didn't think so. Of course, that was in the couple days after it happened, and I haven't asked since, because I thought it was getting better.

By now I'm sure it's too late for the doctor to be able to do anything except send you to the hospital for an x-ray and then say, "Yep, it's broken."

I didn't figure they could do much more when it happened.

Re-break it and set it? Mwahaha.
