The only time we've ever been right is when we're admitting how wrong we've been.

(I've grown, 5 years ago it would have been "you've/you're/you've". It's largely more correct, but 'correct' and 'effective' are usually a bit exclusive of each other.)

Yeah Ranty McRanterson, I did miss these last two posts because I haven't sat down to do my usual nightly reading for the last few days - been spending a lot of time elsewhere than in front of my computer. Go fig. :P

And yes you've grown, and the above statement is indeed pithy sounding but only partially correct. Being able to see and admit to being wrong is a part of the maturing process, but so is the ability to refrain from being trapped in a cycle of self-recrimination once you see the error of *gasp!* being young and a dumbass.

Of course, following my own advice - yeeaahhh...
