He was one of the good ones. I read his last yrs were really sad since he suffered from dementia.

A side note, before VCRs and such, in the late 70's I dated a guy who worked at one of the first cable companies. Cable TV was so new and was not aired 24/7. Anyway, the company had reel to reel tapes of many shows and L had a reel to real tape player and we would watch 'Columbo' and 'Night Stalker' on the TV late at night. Ah, memories.
