I'm officially a studentessa. I started school on Tuesday, but was supposed to start on Monday. No, I was not skipping to be on the island of Elba. I just pulled a typical Jen move, and somehow thought I was supposed to start Tuesday. It didn't matter though, I really didn't miss much on Monday. My teacher's name is Silvio, and he's 29. He's funny

i'm just finishing up angels and demons! what did you think of the davinci code?

I really enjoyed it, but I don't understand what all the fuss was about. It was just a book. People who read into it are much too excitable. It would be interesting though to find out what IS true in that book, from a purely factual perspective. Like, the etymology of some words he uses and the pagan rituals and what not. I don't have a desire to know the truth about the grail, to me thats just folklore.

i used to read a lot about that in high school: the origins of christianity and whatnot. i think it's super interesting. so when the book came out i was super excited to read a novel, even though it is a work of fiction, about it. it was a really neat idea for a book and well thought out, i feel. it's important to remember that it is a piece of fiction but it does get its ideas somewhere. i personally loved it.

i am reading memoirs of a geisha right now. it is fantastic, so far. really, really interesting.
