Bufana

Friday was a national holiday here as it was Epiphany. My understanding is that you leave your window open at night, and a scary, ugly witch (the Bufana) will come visit you. hey we have something like that in tignish. it's an acadian tradition. our guy is called the micaram (or something to that effect) and he is scary, apparently, but if you're good he will bring you treats. when all my aunts and uncles were little, they were super scared of this guy. i remember getting a chocolate bunny from him when i was little though. i think he comes sometime close to easter.

man that old witch is hardcore. I wonder who would win in a fight, her or santa... probably her

The Bufana would win because she's mean and nasty, whereas santa is jolly. Plus, she'll burn down santa's house and workshop, so his sleigh won't exist anymore and he won't even be able to get to italy to fight the bufana.

take that santa.
