March 8 marks International Women's Day. Here in Italy they celebrate with full force. The streets were crowded with women carrying small bouquets of mimosa (a beautiful and simple yellow flower). wow! that would be a bit confusingl one a body, the next day a deity. i would have loved to have been there to smell the mimosa. oh i love that flower! Italy sure seems to have some exciting rituals; you are so lucky to be exposed to them. I wonder what they do for St. Patrick's Day? Oh by the way, we are still on strike and neither side has made any attempt to get back to the table...sigh...

sorry it took so long.. my mom forgot to email the recipe to me until i reminded her this afternoon. I think if guys did that to me i would freak out and turn into a ball of estrogeny goo and fear for my life, especially if they were older... older men (like REALLY older, not 27 year olds, lol) creep me out sometimes. The flower sounds beautiful though and thats so neat that it changed the way everything smelled! maybe people should put those things in the libraries and public access buildings so they don't smell like eleventyeight thousand sketchy people's body odour(s ( ... )

Wow - thanks so much for that recipe! It seems like one I might need to test out a few times before I get it right. I might need to wait until I am back in Canada because of the need for an angel food pan ( i refuse to buy cooking utensils/gadgets here). I will let you know when I have given it a go!
