Feet and general handling

I am slack!

I have not been doing much with the minimob through winter because its been so damn wet! Revoltingly wet. And the result is their progress has screeched to a halt.

So yesterday I decided I had been slack long enough it was time to get back on top of things, beginning with feet! So 6 x 4 = 24 little hooves that need attention....all need a thorough brushing rather than just a finger comb and a scratch....and I needed a slave to help.  Hello B! LOL, she hates being my pony slave because they really are quite naughty. Except Red. She is a very good girl to do feet etc.

Bella was first. She was okay, all four feet trimmed and filed and tidied up. She had pretty good little feet anyway so it didnt take too much work.

Cas was surprisingly good, too. But I have been slack...he should be perfectly behaved but he still had a bit of a tantrum about having his feet held. Also i have let his hind feet get a bit too long in the toe so I will need to correct this with regular weekly trims now. I suppose this will get him used to the process!!

Red was the best. She just stood there while B gave her a cuddle and she just let me do each foot without argument. He white hooves are pretty bad. I will have to get the farrier out to do her corrective work now. Her hind feet have just started to turn in so the walls arent wearing evenly. Front feet are good though.

Cinn and Ruby both have REALLY good feet. Thankfully, because my back isnt strong enough to argue with those girls!!

Duane...pfft....he knew what was going on and would let me get within 10 feet of him.

He will have to be sedated to get his feet done.

Oh such fun and games! Little buggers.

So i'm off now to go and keep my promise to myself and play with everyones legs and feet again today.

Ciao
