Booth was quiet during the ambulance ride mostly because he was exhausted and everything hurt. But Temperance was all right. Or would be. They'd be okay. He had a hard time taking his eyes off of her and he valiantly fought off sleep. He could sleep when he was dead or when they gave him more pudding.

Hodgins kept talking and so did Bones but that was what squints did after weird shit happened. And since weird shit happened everyday, Booth was going to have to invest in some good ear plugs or something. Jesus. It was like two squirrels fighting over an acorn. He wasn't paying much attention though. It was just strange chitter-chattering like these were actually sea squirrels... monkeys...something. His brain was on autopilot for the most part. He just nodded sometimes when Bones gently touched his shoulder, assuming she was asking how he was. He was great. Awesome. Nearly comatose.

When they got back to the hospital-- he assumed so anyway because what the hell did he really care?-- he just leaned heavily on whoever was supporting him as they ushered him back to the hospital. He might have mumbled something like "No worries. 'm fine." but luckily either he didn't say it or no one was paying him any attention.

When they entered the building, he nearly stumbled, grabbing a hold of Bones? Uh huh. That was weird. Where was the bug guy? More importantly...

"Well, where the hell did the EMTs go?"

[ooc: This is for both Booth and Brennan since obviously they're coming in together. Temperance will be putting her EP in the comments and we'll go from there.]
