Kind of abandoned my el-jay for tumblr.

But in my defense, Tumblr is more streamline, not as prone to ddos attacks and doesn't implement crazy, layout-changing 'improvements' every six months.

But I'm going to attempt to upload some fic over here.

We'll see how far we get, I guess.

All these could be said about Dreamwidth, too, which has a steadily increasing userbase of DC fans. ^_^ But then, I hate tumblr with the passion of a thousand thousand burning suns, so possibly I'm biased.

ETA: Nice to see you back, by the way. ^_^ We have missed you!

If I could somehow manage to make my DW account look like my LJ account, I have a feeling I would enjoy the experience more. As it is though, I don't really have the time to figure out the new S2 system over on DW.

And honestly, I feel Tumblr is still more streamline in regards to posting content. Could just be me though...

I used to be on the anti-Tumblr boat, but the pretty pictures won me over. What can I say? I'm cheap. ^^

Thanks! I've been posting stuff on Tumblr, so now I just need to post it here. Though that isn't to say that I haven't been scrolling my fl!st. I have -- It just seemed really quiet over here.

Livejournal seemed to have turned into a giant RP-fest, and I'm just not that into role-playing. So, livejournal was becoming more and more foreign to me.

I'm going to try and be better though, with the cross posting and even life-stuff. Because I *do* miss it over here. *u*

How are youuuu? Are you reading the reboot? What have you been up to?

I use tumblr all the time only I'm not sure it's the best place in terms of hosting fics. It's hard to find an author's stories when they are hosted on tumblr and the formatting is a bit weird. I think it depends on your tumblr style...You'll have to be very organized and always use tags so users can find your stories posted over there. These are all the same reasons I'm not a fan of LJ/DW for hosting fic either, the only advantage LJ/DW have is I think you can post longer pieces of a story and I can use ?style=mine. I'm not sure what the character limit is at Tumblr.

I also have trouble leaving feedback. I can hit the heart button but many stories have no where to reply to them at. I haven't had the best experiences with fic reading at Tumblr.

I can't recall if you have an A03 account or not but if you did I'd subscribe to you there.

I *hate* AO3! lol I'm weird, because everyone seems to love it, but there really is no sense of community, I feel. It's just a place to store your stuff. No one has any motivation to leave you feedback ( ... )

I completely agree every site has it's pros and cons. I think it may vary by fandom as to how they use A03. I've been seeing a lot of conversations and feedback in Thor/Avengers fic but with DCU it's kind of quiet. But I do find myself looking for DCU fic at A03 because I don't know all the authors on tumblr and livejournal that write DCU fic.

As for Tumblr it sounds like you have a plan. :)

p.s. what is your a03 username. I didn't realize you were even posting there.

I don't have a AO3 account anymore. :-/

Some fandoms are more populated then others, that's for sure. I'll just keep sticking with lj and tumblr, I guess. As long as I'm having fun, right?

:)
