Due to annoying issues with the fact that I've had to switch over to COBRA for health insurance due to graduating, the surgery is being postponed for a week due to the need for insurance stuff to go through and not actually having the insurance identification numbers for COBRA yet due to various issues.

So surgery next week. Same day, though.

If it ever becomes a huge issue...Canada has socialized medical insurance. If you can get some sort of permit to live in Canada, you could go there, get all your medical stuff taken care of and then waltz back to the US. I don't know if that would ever be useful to you, but I thought I'd share.
