Your parents are getting divorced?
I would look on CL in vermont for a place to live, or put an ad in the paper for a room. I highly recommend going the "rent a room from someone" route when moving to a new and far away city. Not only is there no lease, you see people in the face every day thereby stalling the eventual no-social-life depression that is going to kick in.

It's not a self-help book in the sense that it gives you "life lessons" or any of that goddamn tripe. It's just a cross-sectional study, and a petition for more academic interest. Therapists, psychologists, and just people in general tend to react poorly to adults whose parents are going through a divorce or a rough time, because adults are expected to handle things and go on with their lives. No one really imagines that there can be all THAT much of an upheaval if you're smart, have a college degree, a place of your own, et cetera. Kids don't get all snowed in over how much angry weeping is too much. Adults do.
And I have been getting quite a good bundle of places from CL lately. When I looked before, there was nuthin. So here's hoping.
