Sorry you feel that way. But it was necessary to show how Rodney had changed and accepted his new life. If he hadn't been able to do that, then he would never have been able to give himself over to John the way he did.

I enjoyed the story up to that point. Feeding on criminals didn't bother me. It was making homelessness a crime that did.

Oh, that wasn't what i was implying at all, tho looking at it, I can see why you would feel that way. I'll re-edit it to change that. They were criminals who just happened to be homeless if that makes sense.

Loved this fic. I don't usually read complete AU, but I saw DWG's accompanying art and it intrigued me.

I loved the way John was so alpha male and in private let Rodney take the lead sometimes but was always ready to step in and take the lead back when needed.

I really liked the way Rodney developed, how we saw Rodney as a Priest and then after he was turned coming to terms with the reality of his existence.

It's a very rich AU with potential for so much more. One criticism (and it's not really a criticism more me just whining) is that it ended too soon. I was about 85% finished and I was thinking "No! No! it's going to end soon and there's so much more for these characters to explore" but maybe that's just me being greedy ;o)

I could have written so much more to this, I really could have. However, life and deadlines got in the way. It's unfortunate as there was just so much more to explore in this world. Maybe if I have the time or notion I'll come back and do a prequel or something... or even a sequel set centuries from now when John and Rodney are well established as one of the most fearsome vampire pairings of their time. Not promising anything though :p
