So I picked up a copy of Players Handbook 3 yesterday, as well as the module I will be running for World Wide D&D Games Day on March 20th at Game Knight

I always stayed away from 'psionics' when ever playing old AD&D. Every kids that I played with growing up immediately wanted their character to have that crank, so it left a bad taste in my mouth for years afterwards.
Imagine 'Nick' as a D&D player and wanting Psionic EVERYTHING! That kinda bad taste.
But, it might be interesting to know where the game developers took a (what used to be) incredible unbalanced power and what they did with it now.
Psionics in 4e are actually quite tame compared to the crack that they were in 2e. I would never have allowed psionics in a 2e game I was running. The 4e version (from what I had time to read last night) seems level with any other class, just with it's own unique twist (no encounter powers, but can boost at-wills a set amount to make up for it).
The only stuff in PHB3 the current players/characters might want to take a peek at are the Skill Powers and new feats. It's a little late to make changes to race/class! :P
Hey, if you want to get a jump on leveling up, let me know what evenings you could pop by on and I'll let you know when I'll be home. Always willing to have company!
