Concerning the author of the book of Hebrews, there are many suspected authors but not sufficient grounds for the assurance of any of them (I think so anyway). I believe the author was left anonymous as an addition to the purpose of the overall theme and message of the book (plus you do not know who wrote it, then it is easier to give the glory to God and not to the author).

lol I know...I have studied the author, original read, and the place where it was written to for quite a few days now, and the only thing that we can know about the author is that he had relation to Timothy, (arguably Pauls closest companion), planned on traveling with Timothy to the place of the Original Reader, knew well Greek (best written Greek in the new Testament...equally comparable to Luke and Acts), and was probably Jewish and probably a religious leader of somesort due to his vast amount of knowledge pertaining to the Old Testament. (The whole Melkizedek speel is impressive considering Melkizedek is only mentioned briefly in Genesis and even more briefly in Psalms 110:4. There are a few other things, but none the less their are problems with each theory on whether or not so and so wrote it....But I totally like your interpretaion....the whole "easier to give the glory to God" thing...hehe after all authorship does not affect the book nor the message. YAY FOR STUPID AUTHORSHIP NOT AFFECTING THE MESSAGE

oh ya everyone should lok up hebrews 6:1-2 to find out the basic teachings of Christianity that you need to be taught when you first become a Christian!!! Now you need to reflect on whether or not you were taught that when you first became a Christian or whether or not it came way later...It's interesting :)
