Haunted Hills is near Morwell, just past Moe. It is really nice, though you want to avoid Moe on the way there :p
It is a very twisty and terrifying track so not terribly fast, I think I came into that corner at around 100km/h which was about as fast as I got anywhere. About half the speed I managed at Sandown.
Eugh, the Latrobe Valley. No thanks. Spent far too much time there in my formative years; it took forever to wash off, wouldn't want to get that on me again.
When are you coming to my house to drink my sparkling shiraz? The fizz will leave if you don't help me drink it.
The area around the track itself is alright but the general area is not so great. Moe really does have a nasty smell to it, I can't really work out what it is but it is nasty.
And soon, though not this week unfortunately. Mid next week?
I was very pleased with the day, I finished with my car undamaged which was my only real goal as it was my first competitive event. In the end I had a great day and actually managed some competitive times, I think I finished 9th out of 14 in my class and beat one or two dedicated race cars.
Really really scarey track though, but scarey in a fun way.
