I don't know how new this is, but Shimano have a remplacement for my pedal (mine is the M324, half platform half SPD), the A530. It's very pretty, and about 2/3 the weight (for those who care, the saving is 200g). Unfortunately it's also AU$99 for a pair (and it doesn't include standard bolt holes for reflectors, they're an optional extra).
Cheeky Transport in Sydney continue to sell interesting stuff. They've just started stocking Power Grips. I wish my city had interesting bike shops.
