[Filtered to captains, vice-captains and bananaphone users]Most divisions have shown admirable restraint in their responses to the unexpected appearances of our zanpakutou, but we've been receiving more worrisome reports as the issue progresses. I'd appreciate it if all of you would continue to forward detailed reports to the sotaichou's office, as ( Read more... )

I offered to help Inoue-san with kidou, but things being as the were we didn't have the oppurtunity. Is that what you had in mind, Rukia-san?

Not quite. I had in mind some kind of defenses or warning system tied to the location where she's staying, something that maintain for long periods. The difficulty is making it strong enough to stand against Espada.

If you're thinking about adapting kidou to fit another purpose, you really ought to mention it to Hinamori-kun. It really is what she's best at.

As far as zanpakutou go, I still feel fine. Zangetsu's gone from stoic to... a step shy of finding Buddha, he's that still and quiet, but I still have mostly full control of my powers.

It's making things more complicated for everyone, but I'd say it's rather the bodyguard gig that's throwing wrenches in the gears? Unless you mean something else than... this thing of ours. I figured the ellipsis slanted the interpretation that way.

I kinda miss you.

I'm fine as well--though tired, since Shirayuki's taking advantage of the forced attention to give me her thoughts on...well. Everything.

[Private to Ichigo]

The magic of punctuation. Your current assignment isn't helping things, but if inquisitive sword spirits are still around when you are back, that's another difficulty.

I miss you too.

Shirayuki's really that bad, huh? Can't she mostly tell what you're thinking, anyway? I don't mean like mind-reading, but Zangetsu seems to have some unpleasantly accurate insights about the state of my soul sometimes.

Yeah, I'm sorry I'm gone so much right now. And even when I do come back, it just means I get to swap with you. We just can't win, can we?

She's not that bad, per se, just...strict. So she's taking the opportunity to make her opinions known when I have to listen.

It seems not. You are due for a break, though. And there's still--you know. Renji.

Ah, I think I'm in the clear now! Grantz-san hasn't really made a peep since I got away, and I feel bad having Soul Society's attention diverted from what's going on right now.

We thought that once before, Inoue. We're not going to make the mistake of trusting in their intentions again.

But...Soul Society needs everyone they can get right now. And I'm safe with Ishida-sensei and Ishida-kun. So I can't help feeling guilty about it.

Ishida and his father may be very capable, but even they have their limits. It's not a hardship, Inoue.
