eric why won't you let yourself be happy? more importantly, when will you stop thinking that happiness is contingent on romance? then you can be happy.
but for now, since it is a time to be sad, "i will not say do not cry, for not all tears are an evil." we shall have sob fests together. i'll sob for you. i wiiiiillll. i'll be dark and depressing and eeeeviil.
you're right, happiness isn't contingent on romance, but I've always know that, I don't think you understand that. Happiness is contingent on me loving myself, but I couldn't do that because no one else loved me. I couldn't accept that I was a worthwhile human being before some one else thought so, I thought it would be arrogant. In order to be happy, I'd have to accept and love who I was, I couldn't do that until someone else did. It's not romance that my happiness is contingent on, but it had to happen before I could.
i think you're worth loving yourself. for. or something. i'm not sure how to make that fragment into a sentence, or how to make that sentence not awkward, or something, but you are worth not having a low self esteem over.
