Somehow I seem to be doing at least a full day of simulation every day this week; either a group all day, or two groups for a half-day each.  This is great for our numbers, and good for customers, unless something breaks and needs a hasty or detailed repair.  Laerdal Medical down in Toronto is finally shipping one of my SimMan3Gs back to Edmonton, ( Read more... )

Just remember that the purpose of a firewall is two-way. It may keep your competence from getting out where it doesn't belong, but it also keeps other people's competence from getting in and messing up your stuff. :-)

I don't mean to imply that the firewall's a bad idea, just that it's another weird sensation in a world full of weird sensations. There're times when understanding gradually fades, and then there're times when I feel completely competent out to a point, and then it drops right off.
