Some information about the life of Quirinus Quirrell with dates and events pertinent to hex_files
4. What does s/he look like? What is his/her wand made out of and how long is it?
Quirrell is tall and gangly with dark curly hair. He’s quite pale as he doesn’t spend a great deal of time outdoors. He does not stammer. His wand is aspen and phoenix feather and is 8 ½ inches long.
5. Magically, what are his/her strengths? Weaknesses?
He’s is strong in Defense (obviously) and all that entails. Good at charms and transfiguration as well. He’s also good at potions. Not as strong in practical magic like Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures but only in comparison to the other subjects. His greatest weakness is his naiveté.
6. What side(s) is your character on?
Before his possession by Voldemort, Q would have been on the side of the Order, thought it’s doubtful he would have had any real contact with them. After his possession, he did everything in his power to do Voldemorts bidding “though I have let him down many times.”
7. Give a paragraph or so describing how your character came to beon that (those) side(s), and when it happened, both in terms of yourcharacter's age, and the year.
Easy enough. “A foolish young man I was then, full of ridiculous ideas about good and evil. Lord Voldemort showed me how wrong I was. There is no good and evil, there is only power and those to weak to seek it…” His mind was taken over in June of 1991 and VdM took actual physical possession of Quirrell in August, after he failed to steal the Stone from Gringotts
I firmly believe that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and payed the ultimate price.
8. How does your character feel about the war?
To say he is of two minds is the epitome of understatement.
9. How does your character feel about killing?
AnteVoldemort, Q is appalled by the thought.
ApresVoldemort, well, he killed a unicorn. ‘Nuff said.
10. What does your character's Boggart turn into? What is his/her Patronus? What might s/he see in the Mirror of Erised?
Quirrell’s boggart is a cave-in. He has a (not unreasonable) fear of being buried alive.
Quirrell’s patronus is a road runner, though it didn’t do him any good.
He would see an endless room full of every book that was ever written and he’d have enough time to read them all.

April 17th 1969, Q receives a copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales for his birthday and begins a life-long fascination with trolls
September 1977, Quirrell starts Hogwarts and is sorted into Ravenclaw.
1988- Applies for the position of Defense Against Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts at the behest of Headmaster Albus Dumbledore.
Sept 1989-begins his teaching career.
June 1990- Takes a leave of absence to do research and get some ‘first-hand experience.’ Was never the same afterward.
Died June 4th, 1992
