Everyone has had an education, to some degree, previously, but the quality and absorption of that education varies extremely.
I noticed that, especially in my junior year, that the knowledge of myself and my classmates was on a very wonky scale.
Some of them didn't know things I'd learned in middle school/high school. But, then again, I didn't know some of the stuff they knew, that I felt I should know.
Differing from not knowing specific things I am often baffled by some of the individuals who made it into the school. Be they constantly clueless, or amazingly out-of-touch with the level of education everyone ELSE seemed to have had.
So, yes, several individuals I encountered at "real college" were complete idiots. Either education-wise or socially. Or both.
Anyway, I think you go to "real college", because it's a valid system of education which leads to a degree. Don't feel that you took the wrong or lonelier path. Not true. :)
