Wow - I thought the parliamentary thing was a figure of speech. It's eerie when things like that happen. It would make a good beginning to a story.

Yes they will remember. You did, indeed, get in their business and then you tried to communicate with them. Where you wear bulky clothes and had something black on underneath something else, if you bent down and "into" the bush a bit, they may think you "aided and abetted" ;)
