Sometimes, I think I would rather regret the things I did do, than wonder about what might have been.

I have nothing but regrets about what I haven't done.
Six of one, half-dozen of the other. But I bet people who do have more fun, and less to regret.

All I'm saying is that sometimes, I would rather regret what I did do than regret what I didn't

This is how I have lived my life, for the most part. It often pisses other people off but in the end you KNOW. You don't have to wonder what might have happened. As long as you can handle knowing that you're responsible for any negative effects your actions might produce (and I think you can), I say go for it. It's much more fun that way.

Life without mistakes is pretty boring, but it's not the mistakes that make it better

Most of my regret (which is poisonous and deadly) is about what I didn't do that I can't do now. But I think that by being repressed and cautious I avoided some experiences friends of mine had that were just as scarring, or worse, or even just killed them dead.

One of the hardest things is assessing risk and benefit. I've only now learned how to do it decently. Most people are lopsided one way or another; I don't think either is better. Also what Skully said.
