Hullo Ron,
This holiday's been shite. I just got this letter and the last. The Muggles nailed the windows shut on my room, and I've not been out much. Thanks for worrying, I guess, but I'm all right, other than being hungry.
Sorry I couldn't meet with you. No way of getting there, you know. And why should I be upset you went without me? It's nothing you could help. About the summer, I'll think about it and talk to Dumbledore. Somehow, I doubt he will, considering all the stuff that's been happening lately. Maybe, though. It would definitely be nice, as I don't think I could survive another summer with the Dursleys. I was warned if I do anything else, I could be expelled from Hogwarts, or you'd get that extra punch.
I'd best stop writing, so I don't get in trouble, as I hear their car.
Regards, Harry
P.S. Not a thing. I've only ever bought for Hermione, and that's easy - books.

((Rawr, my apologies! Pretend Harry received this Tuesday morning, yeah?))
Harry,
Sorry to hear things have been so rotten, but I guess we can't expect much from any breaks spent with the Dursleys. I'm sorry, mate. Bet you're really looking forward to going back to school.
You were at Diagon Alley with us in spirit. Yeah, I know the summer is iffy, but it can't hurt to ask, right? You're certainly welcome here, and we've got plenty of room. Still, I guess what Dumbledore says goes.
Sorry this is so short! I've got to run, mum is cracking the whip, trying to get Ginny and I ready to ship out tomorrow morning. See you at school!
-- Ron
P.S. Blast. Guess I'll have to think of something on my own.
