It's *so* hard to find a little stereo with RCA capabilities. My parents have one from the 80's that I use whenever I'm in Florida. I hope that thing lasts forever.
I used to like the Mummies. They were so mysterious and it was cool whenever you'd actually find a Mummies record because it would be self-pressed on super-thick vinyl...and rare! Now they're a lot more accessible, which is probably better. But yeah...they were a fun band.
Have you ever heard of the Little Bunnies? Nobody knew who was in the band (they wore bunny suits) and the law was after them for disturbing a parade by sneaking their float in and playing naughty songs with sexually suggestive dancing/lyrics. They put out two 7"s and then broke up out of necessity of remaining anonymous. People would flyer for Little Bunnies shows and when the cops showed up the people putting on the show would just play one of the records. Ha. It was a big scandal in the punk world of the mid-90's.
Jon, are you telling me you have original mummies vinyl? Because I just might explode!
I actually found out that I've met the guy who played guitar in the mummies a number of times, but I didnt know it!
I love the artwork so much. The pictures of them in their ambulance in the san francisco saint patrick day parade made me wish I was a lot younger. You can't get away with crap like that now.
I will look into the little bunnies, although I doubt I wil find anything!
