If you want to go with religion then the only true way to be happy and stay that way is to with be God. Now for sinners they can temporarily be happy with things of the world (Drinking, Rollercoasters, Buying something new etc.).
I'm happy, and it feels great, I can't tell you if it's Jessica, my family, friends, or what it is, but I do know that everything thing is going great and I couldn't ask for more.
